Dunfermline first scored through Gracie after excellent lead up play. Converted by NcNeish. A midfield break by Daly allowed the backs to move the ball well with McNeish hauled down short of the line.
Dunfermline dominated possession but failed to find a rhythm in attack that would demonstrate this dominance. Aberdeenshire contributed to the home sides difficulties with good defence, although for long spells they struggled to take play into the Dunfermline half. After a period of good pressure Daly increased the Dunfermline lead with a try wide on the left after a meandering run. Driving forward play with Lawrie to the fore resulted in a push over try from a ruck close in.
Second half scoring opened by Stewart after lead up work by Donald, McNeish converted from in front of the posts. Again with the majority of possession Dunfermline attempted to force the game rather than be patient. The resultant minor errors interrupted the flow of play. Lawrie finished the scoring with a pick up and drive from a ruck on 5 metres converted by McNeish.
