Madras 2-5 Dunfermline

An interesting turn as the Madrascals fired back with 3 tries to bring the game to a tie.

Madras 5-5 Dunfermline

However, the bragging rights finish with Dunfermline, as Niamh Mathieson was able to score the deciding try with a run through the opposition scoring in the corner!

Final Score
Madras 5-6 Dunfermline

Good opener for the team against a formidable Madrascals outfit.

After a short break, Howe Blues were next on the fixtures list.

Dunfermline v Howe Blues

Howe Blues got on the scoreboard early, and with a healthy lead.
Scoring three unanswered tries took Howe into a good platform heading into the remainder of the game.

But as always, the Dunfermline players were reluctant to give in!

Conall Burns strikes again, his third try of the day set up by Reuben MacLeod who shown good running intent the whole tournament.

A tricky game and a well played one by opposition Howe who had some pace and dangerous ball carriers used to good effect.

Dunfermline v Howe Whites

Dunfermline were out for revenge against the second Howe outfit we had to play today.

A great showing for the squad as they managed to see out Howe Whites with some great individual tries.

Dunfermline 2-5 Linlithgow

As earlier, Dunfermline would not sit back and halt the try count.

3 tries came in rapid time to help lower the gap.

Following a terrific run down the sideline from Georgios Tachtatzis who was unfortunate to just be brought down metres from the try line by a scrambled Linlithgow defence, quick rucking meant Matthew Gracie could finish off the play with his fourth try of the tournament.

Next up, top try scorer Conall Burns added more to his try count, with two outstanding tries to skip through tackle challenges and drive his way over the line.

Dunfermline 5-5 Linlithgow

Scores tied, all to play for in the final moments of this second half.

Dunfermline and Linlithgow trading possession until the ball was fumbled and advantage was well taken by Linlithgow who were able to seal the deal with a try in the final play of the game!

Final score
Dunfermline 5-6 Linlithgow

An unfortunate end to the tournament for such a thrilling day for the P4's!

Both team and individual improvements are being shown every week by the squad.

Every player involved in the tournament deserves an honourable mention for showing tremendous defensive work and attacking intent.
Big performances from Reuben MacLeod and Niamh Mathieson who are constantly proving their worth in attacking play.

This weeks Player of the Day is being awarded to Liam Stephens!
Liam shown great intent and pace in attack to bag himself three tries in the tournament and some wit through the "two pass rule" we have at this level, where running was his first option opposed to an immediate pass.
Also worked his wee scrum cap off in defence too.

Congrats Liam!
